John Baksa appointed President of Hansen Technologies North America

New York, NY USA – Hansen Technologies, a leading global provider of billing and customer care technologies, announced the appointment of John Baksa as its President for North America. Commencing January 15, 2018, Baksa succeeds John May who has been in the role for the past 7 years, overseeing significant growth. John May has been promoted to the expanding role of CEO Hansen Technologies, EMEA.
After an extensive internal and recruitment search Andrew Hansen, CEO of Hansen Technologies said, “I am delighted that John Baksa will lead Hansen Technologies, North America into its next stage of growth.”. He went on to say “Baksa has been a key member of our Regional Executive Team and was instrumental in the integration and execution of many Hansen acquisitions. John Baksa is an industry leader with significant experience and has been an integral part of the Hansen Technology team for six years. Baksa began at Hansen as the Delivery Head for the North American Billing and CIS platforms and was later promoted to General Manager for Hansen Nirvanasoft Complex Billing product and Hansen’s Solutions BPO and Customer Care, cash to meter product line. Throughout his career he has worked in a variety of leadership roles at Select Energy in IT and Operations before moving to Direct Energy Business as Director Billing Operations and then CIO before coming to Hansen Technologies.

The momentum of the business has been significant in the 6 years since I joined Hansen, with the company tripling in size over this period” said Baksa. “We will be releasing a new modernisation of the US specific Banner platform this year with a full UI replacement for deeper functionality, more flexibility and cloud deployment in-line with other Hansen cloud based products. We will also be showcasing robust complex energy billing modules utilising our Nirvanasoft and Solutions platforms.”
He went on to say “Globally, Hansen helps our clients to streamline and optimise critical billing and operational processes allowing them to realise their potential to evolve, and thrive in their local market. This is going to be an exciting year at Hansen.”
