Japan’s Energy Retailer, eRex selects Hansen Utilities CIS for Expansion into Deregulated Residential Market

September 14, 2015 – Hansen Technologies Limited (ASX: HSN) today announced that eRex Corporation has chosen the Peaceplus CIS to be their new customer care and billing system for their entry into Japan’s residential energy market.

eRex, a well-known player in the Commercial & Industrial energy market in Japan, is planning to establish its sales companies to target energy retail business for residential customers when the deregulation of the retail electricity market occurs in April 2016. With over 20 years serving deregulated energy markets throughout the world, Hansen was able to provide a flexible, scalable, and competition ready system, that has been tailored for Japan.

“Together with Toshiba we have partnered for over a decade in the Japanese energy market, and we are very excited to work with one of the first companies to be approved as an energy retailer,” said Andrew Hansen, CEO of Hansen Technologies. “Our solution is ready to deploy within the short time-frames eRex need.”

“We chose Toshiba and Hansen for their proven track record and extensive experience servicing deregulated energy markets around the world” said eRex Co. Ltd. “We are pleased with our new partnership and look forward to a long and productive relationship.”
