Univisa S.A. Implements Hansen’s ICC Customer Care and Billing Solution in 3 Months

April 22, 2015 – Hansen Technologies Limited (ASX: HSN) today announced that Univisa S.A. has taken its ICC customer care & billing solution live in Ecuador. Hansen’s ICC solution supports Univisa’s prepaid TV services, offered via Direct-to-Home (DTH) satellite.

Univisa is the third largest PayTV operation in Ecuador with more than 50,000 PayTV and wireless internet subscribers. By switching from MMDS distribution to DTH, Univisa has expanded its potential reach from 500,000 households to more than 3 million homes, representing a considerable growth opportunity for the company. The Hansen platform will enable Univisa to grow aggressively in this newly expanded market.

“We are extremely pleased to have delivered our ICC solution for Univisa so quickly and at a critical time in their growth,” said Andrew Hansen, Hansen Technologies CEO. “With regional experts to facilitate our rapid time to market, we are committed to the success of our clients and to our continued growth in Latin America”.

Univisa was challenged with implementing a new prepaid business model to enable their aggressive expansion. They selected Hansen’s ICC solution, a proven and scalable platform that is used by some of the largest operators in the world’s fastest growing markets.

“We consider our billing and customer care platform to be one of the key elements to a sustainable business plan, with a specific focus on service experience, innovation, reduced churn, and rapid time-to–market offers” said Javier Santelli, CEO of Univisa. “Hansen demonstrated that it is possible to deliver a solution aligned with our needs and within our expected time-frames. Timely launch of the prepaid business was a critical success factor for this project. Hansen understood this and worked closely with us as a business partner to ensure we met our objectives”.
