Stratecast Identifies Rising Importance of the Product & Service Catalog in Hybrid Networks

[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]TORONTO, Canada – (Dec 21, 2016) – In a recent Perspectives & Insight for Executives report, Stratecast Frost & Sullivan recognized the need for a more centralized and interconnected product and service catalog to support agile service providers running physical, virtual and hybrid networks.

The report goes on to describe the interdependence between operators and software suppliers as they face the coming digital transformation. It is critical that CSPs improve and automate the processes and systems that create, sell and deliver their growing and increasingly complex product portfolios.

“The product and service catalog is driving what is arguably today’s most important CSP process: creating and onboarding innovative new services that address multiple verticals, leverage next-generation networks, incorporate partner capabilities, and drive revenue growth,” said Tim McElligott, Senior Consulting Analyst, Operations, Orchestration, Data Analytics & Monetization (ODAM) Global Competitive Strategies at Stratecast. “Elevating the OSS-based catalog over other catalogs in either the MANO stack or within partner environments, will help CSPs place new and existing services in the hands of customers more quickly.”

Tim Spencer, President and CEO of Sigma Systems noted that “Sigma’s product architecture is entirely focused on delivering on a vision of catalog-driven operations. We have worked in close partnership with CSPs like Orange and Vodafone to help them compete successfully in this rapidly changing digital environment.”
