Developed in collaboration with EPV Energy, a thought leader in Finland’s transition to zero-emissions energy, this new approach ensures maximum efficiency for district-heating operations by automatically calculating the optimum energy mix.
This latest capability sees EPV reducing operational costs, transacting with greater agility on the energy market, and accelerating its transition to cleaner, greener energy solutions.

The District Heating Optimisation module within Hansen MDM assimilates the multiple district-heating parameters and automatically produces actionable energy plans. With these new insights, EPV can now fully optimise their operations, knowing the best heat-energy source, including heat storage, on an hourly basis. Some of the variables used in developing this plan include production costs, minimum and maximum production and demand volumes, mass flow and ramping restrictions, as well as production-to-supply delays. As a result, what was once complicated, time-consuming and prone to guesswork is now simplified and automated.
