Hansen Advances Support for 5G and IoT with Hansen Catalog Release 9.0

March 9th, 2021 – Hansen Technologies (ASX:HSN) today announced the general availability of Hansen Catalog Release 9.0, the newest update to Hansen’s enterprise product and technical service catalog software for service providers in the telecom and energy sectors.

Hansen Catalog Release 9.0 introduces new and enhanced product lifecycle management capabilities, and advances the support for 5G-enabled digital services offerings. It is accompanied by a new release of Hansen Catalog Services which introduces modelling and rule-execution extensions to provide additional product innovation flexibility for CSPs.

In a recently published case study, Hansen details how Belgian communications service provider Proximus has benefitted from its existing use of Hansen Catalog.

Guy Tennant, Chief Technology Officer, Hansen Technologies, commented: “5G-enabled services, including IoT, place significant pressure on service providers’ current business support systems and their ability to create, sell and deliver these new offerings. As Proximus has experienced, Hansen Catalog addresses this problem by ensuring that product, service and resource data is centrally managed and that the business can respond to dynamic market opportunities with agility. With the latest release of Hansen Catalog, Hansen helps enterprises digitalise their business, enable agile product and service innovation, and monetise new 5G-enabled services.”

As the core of the Hansen Create-Deliver-Engage Suite for CSPs, Hansen Catalog (formerly Sigma Catalog) is specifically designed to manage the end‐to‐end processes and product data relevant to the product development, product launch and in‐life product management activities of an organisation. It provides the essential components of a full product lifecycle management framework and product data management capabilities. Hansen Catalog is licensed by more than 50 enterprises from diverse industry sectors including communications, energy, high tech, and automotive. Hansen Catalog can be deployed in the Cloud or on-premise.

The latest release of Hansen Catalog follows the recent announcement that Dish Network has selected Hansen Catalog and other Hansen catalog-driven commerce applications as it builds the first cloud-native, Open RAN-compliant 5G network in the United States. Hansen Catalog has also served to enhance the capabilities of Belgian communications service provider Proximus.
