Sky Italia selects Sigma Systems’ EPM and CPQ products to power its multi-channel sales initiative
TORONTO – January 7, 2014 — Sigma Systems, the leader in catalog-driven Idea-to-Install products, today announced Sky Italia, Italy’s leading Pay TV provider, has selected its Enterprise Product Management (EPM) and Configure Price Quote (CPQ) products to drive product delivery, real time order configuration, pricing and quote capabilities for its multi-channel sales initiative.
The Sigma EPM products will ensure Sky Italia’s business and IT audiences can quickly manage products through the end to end lifecycle. Sky Italia selected the Sigma CPQ application for Salesforce, which integrates with the operator’s existing CRM to expand its channel sales capabilities and ensure timely and accurate information is available across multiple channels. Sigma’s products have been installed by several service providers within the Sky family throughout Europe.
“Time to market is critical for our operating environment as is accurate information across our sales channels,” said Umberto Angelucci, CTO, Sky Italia. “The Sigma EPM and CPQ provide the right capability for Sky Italia being an agile platform that integrates product and service information across all our sales and commerce systems.”
“By selecting both EPM and CPQ, Sky Italia now has a product catalog that can be tied directly into its new eShop sales channel on a real-time basis, making it easy to launch new services,” said Tim Spencer, President and COO, Sigma Systems. “These capabilities provide communications service providers, media and high tech companies with a new approach to their OSS/BSS solutions.”
“The EPM and CPQ products have been deployed by service providers worldwide, and have proven to reduce product delivery times by as much as 75 per cent,” said Tim Spencer, President of Sigma Systems. “We now look forward to working quickly with Sky Italia and its integration partner, Deloitte, to drive similar benefits across new and existing sales channels.”
The EPM and CPQ products are the latest additions to Sigma Systems’ product portfolio. The company’s multi-channel solution BSS/OSS stack offers a true ‘Idea-to-Install’ platform, which accelerates time to market for new products, ensures accurate order management and provisioning, reduces operating expenses and ensures a better customer experience throughout the ordering and delivery process.
