Next wave of CSP revenue streams to come from Spatial Web – the next evolution of the internet – seamlessly connecting physical and digital worlds to deliver hyper personalised and immersive experiences underpinned by CAMARA services in Hansen Catalog and Hansen CCB

July 24, 2025 – Hansen Technologies (ASX:HSN), a leading global provider of software and services to the communications & media and energy & utilities industries, is pleased to announce that its Catalyst, “Spatial Web: Open Gateway to the Immersive Future”, has been awarded the winner in the Moonshot Catalyst category at the 2025 edition of Digital Transformation World. The Hansen team received this recognition alongside industry partners Telefónica Germany, TIM Brasil, MATRIXX Software, NTT DATA, Red Hat, and nabstract.io.

The Catalyst is designed to open up new CSP revenue streams via standardised Spatial Web Interoperability. It leverages GSMA Open Gateway APIs (CAMARA APIs) to expose network capability that is used to enable the Spatial Web experience; and TM Forum’s Operate APIs to enable the monetisation of the APIs between the service provider, the channel partner and the application owner.

At Hansen, the team focused on modelling the CAMARA APIs and their various pricing paradigms in Hansen Catalog for both the service provider and channel partner, illustrating how Catalog synchronisation would be done between their catalogs. Hansen also provided the settlement with the channel partner for API usage, ensuring appropriate allocation to each application owner. This aspect was powered by Hansen CCB.

Brian Cappellani, Chief Technology Officer Communications & Media at Hansen explains how Spatial Web represents the next evolution of the internet, seamlessly connecting the digital and physical worlds.

“It leverages technologies such as IoT, 5G/6G networks, spatial computing, and built-in security to deliver personalised, immersive experiences. Unlike the traditional web, the Spatial Web connects not just information but also physical spaces, devices, people, and AI agents through a common standard.

“This specific service model opens new revenue streams for CSPs, while aligning with Application Service Providers (ASPs) and Digital Service Providers (DSPs). The convergence of 5G, IoT, blockchain, and AI is shaping the Spatial Web, giving service providers new ways to enhance customer experiences and drive business growth.”

Scott Weir, Hansen’s President Communications & Media, comments: “The TM Forum Catalyst program recognises and rewards bold thinking and future-focused innovation. This recognition from the TM Forum attests to the reputation for versatility and wide applicability that our Hansen Suite for Communications, Technology and Media currently enjoys in the global communications sector.

“At Hansen, we are proud of our heritage in powering the monetisation layer – enabling immersive, real-time services to be dynamically packaged, billed, and settled across networks and ecosystems.

This Catalyst proves how CSPs can move beyond connectivity and into a new era of network monetisation through open, standardised APIs. With our industry partners Telefónica Germany, TIM Brasil, MATRIXX Software, NTT DATA, Red Hat, and nabstract.io, we could not be more pleased to showcase this unique solution at the latest edition of Digital Transformation World.”
